How to Use Sinhala Font Style

Quick Start Guide
Follow these three steps to go from blank page to beautiful Sinhala typography.
Enter Your Text
- Visit SinhalaFontStyle.com and find the text input box at the top.
- Type your message in Sinhala Unicode — for example, "අද ලස්සන දවසක්" — or in English.
- Click "Sample" to load a default example, or use the "Virtual Keyboard" for guided Sinhala input.
Customise Your Preview
- Drag the font size slider to set size between 20 – 80 px.
- Use the colour pickers to choose your text colour and background colour.
- Watch all available font previews update in real time below the controls.
Download Your Creation
- Below each font preview, click "PNG" to save as an image — with or without background.
- Click "TTF" to download the font file for installation on your device.
- No login needed — all downloads start immediately and are completely free.
Installing a TTF Font on Your Device
Once you've downloaded a TTF file, follow the steps for your operating system below.
- 1Locate the downloaded
.ttffile in your Downloads folder. - 2Right-click the file and select "Install" or "Install for all users".
- 3The font is now available in all applications such as Word, Photoshop, and Canva.
- 4Alternatively, open Control Panel → Fonts and drag the file in.
- 1Double-click the downloaded
.ttffile — Font Book will open automatically. - 2Click "Install Font" in the preview window.
- 3The font is now available system-wide in all macOS applications.
- 4Manage installed fonts via Applications → Font Book.
- 1Download a font manager app such as iFont or FontFix from the Play Store.
- 2Open the app and locate the downloaded
.ttffile in your storage. - 3Tap "Install" and follow the on-screen prompts.
- 4Some Samsung and Xiaomi devices support direct font installation via Settings → Display → Font Style.
- 1Copy the
.ttffile to~/.local/share/fonts/for a user-only install. - 2For system-wide install, copy to
/usr/share/fonts/usingsudo. - 3Run
fc-cache -fvin the terminal to refresh the font cache. - 4The font is now available in GIMP, LibreOffice, and all other applications.
